Splash HQ was a tie-in responsive web app created to assist players of Splash on Roblox and Unreal. When DJs perform in these games, their performances would be automatically sent to HQ for mastering, downloading and sharing on the platform. We went with a colourful and youthful look to match the rest of the brand. The app had a solid reason for being, but telemetry revealed that the cohort of players interested in extracting their in-game performances was a small percentage of the player base, and eventually it was retired. However, I still think the UX loop of performing in one game and sharing it on a dedicated social platform was a solid idea.
