In my role as senior designer for Splash, I've created a wide range of UI assets and interfaces for Splash on Roblox, the most popular skate game on the platform at time of writing. Shown here are examples of the beatmaker and skate interfaces, the two core game modes for this Roblox game. Players can DJ to packs created by the talented Splash music team, or skateboard in different maps. Pursuing either the DJ or skate careers will net the player XP.
Developing interfaces begins first with understanding the problem, creating sketches, designing hi-fis and components, and then finally implementing interfaces in Roblox Studio. At this point, the design is ready for developers to add a programming layer. I like to take control of frontend implementation as much as possible, which gives me more control over the final product and also allows developers to focus on tech.
